While Richie Cunningham gets an enormous skatepark built in his honor everybody seems to have forgotten about Chuck Cunningham. The only glimpse we ever got of Chuck was of him leaving the Cunningham residence to go play basketball on the very first episode of Happy Days. After years of cover ups and denials I still wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat wondering about Chuck's fate. That's where the Lake Cunningham fullpipe comes into play. I figure that under the right conditions with the right pump that someone, perhaps like Peter Hewitt or Bob Burnquist, could get enough speed in the full pipe to rip open the space time continuum and pull Chuck Cunningham right out of the fifth dimension and right into the modern day.
This kid, I don't know his name, is getting high. Not on drugs. On a large monolith. What is the significance of the monolith and could it somehow be connected to the mystery of Chuck Cunningham? I consulted a psychic who told me that the monolith lays directly on the cross sections of two strong lines in the earth's magic magnetic field...
Rad Dog Dinardo nonchalantly tail blocks as if he does not know about the enigma of the Cunningham. Is it just a simple skateboard trick or part of a ritualistic dance to free the soul of Chuck Cunningham so he may walk the earth once again and smite all those who oppose him?.....
Before going to Cunningham Bowl Penitentiary on Saturday we went to the ditch for a warm up. I fell way harder in that little thing than at the park. Noggin, tailslide transfer out and bluntage....
Lake Cunningham is a man made lake built in dedication to Richie Cunnigham's military service in Greenland. He was a decorated soldier and a good friend of the Fonz. They built a skatepark there that is (finally) officially opening this weekend. I got to ride it a couple times already. Here's a few pictures I snapped as I was leaving. I don't know this dude who is doing a backside ollie, smith grind and backside air.....
This is Cab doing a frontside 50-50. duh....
Here's some pictures of the park from the vantage point of where I set down my camera while I was skating.....
The city started building another skatepark right by my old house. That park it is in is sketchville. There's lot's of gangbangers and homeless hanging out. Here's what has gone down so far. I'm pretty sure it is a Wormhoudt design judging by the fact that there is a twinkie in the bowl.
There's also this crazy sculpture. Beans and Crazy Eddie had ads there, I think....
and this killer little path for your Sector 9 cruising, brah.....
